About Me
Where creativity, neuroscience, and community impact come together.
Maya Haubold is a student, artist, flutist, author, and aspiring neuroscience researcher whose interests lie at the intersection of science, creativity, and community impact.
A rising sophomore at Baruch College Campus High School, Maya is particularly interested in traumatic brain injury, neuroimaging, data analysis, and neurological recovery. Her interest in neuroscience began after experiencing a concussion, which inspired her to explore how brain injuries are detected, monitored, and treated—and how research can improve outcomes for patients and families.
Beyond the classroom, Maya is an accomplished visual artist, an All-City Concert Band flutist, and a young author. She is also the founder of Heads Up NYC, a youth-led initiative focused on brain injury awareness, helmet safety, and prevention.
Through research, art, music, writing, and service, Maya hopes to combine intellectual curiosity with creative problem-solving to make a meaningful and lasting difference.
